It's not the hanging that I don't believe, it's him being the person hanged. Why am I saying this? Cuz I read about how his son and his look alike, they actually did surgery on the guy so his jaws and teeth would be exactly like his and he would be sent out on public occasions instead of 3udai and no one could tell the difference, and I'm sure it's not different for the father.
